2008 Beijing Olympics Results: Men’s Basketball Standings after Saturday, U.S. and Lithuania Remain Undefeated

The 2008 Beijing Olympics featured four games on Saturday and the United States and Lithuania each earned wins to remain undefeated while host country China picked up a big win over Germany to advance and Argentina knocked off Iran.

The United States used tough defense and big games from LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane wade to pound Spain 119-82 to move to 4-0 in Group B play.

Lithuania and Croatia played a close game through three quarters but the fourth quarter was all Lithuania in a big 86-73 victory to remain undefeated. Lithuania shot an amazing 60 percent from the field including 57 percent from beyond the three-point line.

China punched their ticket to the medal round with a big 59-55 victory over Germany on Saturday. Yao Ming finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Dirk Nowitzki finished with 24 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.

Argentina improved to 3-1 in Group A play with a 97-82 victory over Iran on Saturday. Manu Ginobili finished with a game-high 32 points to pace Argentina.
