Judo Gold Won by Romania’s Alina Alexandra Dumitru and South Korea’s Choi Minho


The 2008 Beijing Olympics are underway and gold was handed out Saturday for both the women’s and men’s judo athletes with Romania’s Alina Alexandra Dumitra taking the women’s 48kg gold and South Korea’s Choi Minho winning gold in the men’s 60kg class.



Alina Alexandra Dumitra edged Cuba’s Yanet Bermoy to grab the gold while Argentina’s Paula Belen Pareto and Japan’s Ryoko Tani earned the bronze.



On the men’s side it was Choi Minho edging Austria’s Ludwig Paischer while Ruben Houkes of the Netherlands and Rishod Sobirov of Uzbekistan grabbed bronze.
