North Korea has set up observation equipment in preparation for an imminent rocket launch, Seoul's Yonhap news agency reported Saturday.
The agency gave no source for its report. The defence ministry declined to comment.
Yonhap said cameras had been set up at three different places around the launch site at Musudan-ri in the country's northeast. It said these were normally put in place shortly before a launch.
The North has said it will launch a satellite between April 4-8, which opponents see as a disguised long-range missile test.
South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak has said he expects the launch to go ahead on Saturday unless the weather at Musudan-ri is bad.
The US and its regional allies have condemned the plan as provocative and a threat to regional security.
