US agents Tuesday removed former Nazi death camp guard John Demjanjuk from his Ohio home to deport him to Germany where he faces charges of helping murder Jews in World War II.
Five US agents were seen removing Demjanjuk, 89, from his home and easing him down the steps in a wheelchair to take him to a waiting white van as family members gathered on the front porch, crying and holding each other for support.
Demjanjuk was to be taken to a local airport to board a Gulf Stream jet headed for Munich later Tuesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer said.
