Wade leads U.S. to exhibition rout of Canada
Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Michael Redd scored 20 points each to lift the U.S. men's basketball team to a crushing 120-65 win over Canada in Las Vegas on Friday.
In the team's first exhibition game before next month's Olympics, guard Wade was promoted to the starting lineup in place of LeBron James, who had a sprained ankle.
Wade looked sharp, attacking early and often as the U.S. took a 61-38 halftime lead.
Kobe Bryant added 15 points and three assists as the Americans shot 65.7 percent from the field.
Jermaine Anderson led Canada with 18 points.
The game was the American team's last in the U.S. this year. They will play two games in Macao and two in Shanghai before beginning their Olympic campaign against hosts China on Aug. 10.
